This morning we took a bus to Varadero (The most sold beach and package holiday destination of Cuba). Everything here is said to be more expensive because of the high amount of tourists, so we were not able to stay the night; but as the bus to Matanzas had to go through there we decided to spend the day at the beach, which was def worth it.

We arrived in Matanzas in the afternoon so had a quick wonder through town before having dinner. Matanzas was to be our last stop before Havana and then flying out to Bolivia.

Before we went the next day, we had time to go and explore a little more. Matanzas is home to a really large mural of Che which is made of stones. I had been searching for it for a bit (after seeing it on a postcard) and have finally found it here this morning. Its one of the prize images of my Che Collection!! You will see them once we upload the pics.

There isn’t much going on here either, but as we needed to go back to Havana for our flight, we thought we’d board the Hershey Electric Train back there for a longer but more scenic trip.
