THAILAND – Expenses & Accommodation

For those who plan to visit Thailand one day, this could be useful, similar blogs have helped us work out our budget and accommodation during the planning stages & trip.

0 °C

We spent 52 days in Thailand staying in guesthouses in private rooms, all had private bathrooms. The most expensive accommodation was found on the islands, from Bangkok up north, accommodation was really cheap. We spent one night at a hotel near Bangkok airport when we had an early morning flight, this was very expensive and so was the food.

We ate out the whole time; one can find good, cheap food at the night markets.

The “Transport” part below includes flights to Bali, flights from Malaysia to Krabi, mini van transfers, a few local buses, motorbike rentals and ferries to and from the islands. We also hired a car for one day in the Pai area.

The “Extras” part includes our Open Water course on Phi Phi, which is an expensive place to do it but the diving is great. We also did a lot of clothes shopping at markets, Thai massages and so on. We also did a Thai Cooking Class.

All amounts are in US dollars
