We spent a few days in Bogota, which is to be honest not the most interesting town to us so this post is a brief one..

The Candelaria area is the city’s historical centre and full of colourfully painted colonial residences. This is where all the hostels are which is a bit of a pity as its well known to be dangerous and for muggings on tourists. We took all our precautions and we were thankfully ok, but it does put you rather on edge when you are aware of the surrounding danger. Yes it is Steph talking..

The very centre of the old town was pleasant enough but sadly the day we picked to visit the museums that interested us was the day the museums are shut!!

We still managed to get a good look at the town and visit the very impressive Gold Museum. Most of Colombia’s gold was hauled away by the Spanish. What was left behind was enough to assemble the world’s largest collection of ornaments, very impressive pieces.

We were off to Leticia on the morning of the 24th.

So happy you are no longer in Bogota. OUF!
But tell me, is it when you don't like a town that we do not get to see YOU 2....??
